The MissiHippy Belly Dancers have been preforming together for 2 years, and will grace the stage at OUToberfest for the third year as well. They have danced for Jackson Free Press's "Chick Ball" for three years, and recently performed at the Gulf Coast International Belly Dance Festival. The MissiHippy Dancers director, Kristina Kelly, has been a belly-dance student for over 17 years, and says “MissiHippy introduces locals to dances of the Middle East, North Africa and India," focusing on the true definition of exotic dancing as “introduced from another country; strikingly different.”

All performances are PG and family-friendly. Performers include Kristina Kelly, Michele Campbell, Trish Alexander, Katy Lewis and Sheila Norwood. They study and perform many different styles of belly dance, including cabaret, tribal, tribal fusion, and gothic, while also dabbling in Gypsy, Hula and Bhangra. Currently, the group’s focus is tribal fusion, “Raks Gothique” and American Cabaret belly-dance. They can be hired for weddings, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, corporate luncheons, festivals and more.
